Compliance

Built so you
don't get in trouble.

Texting your golfers is legitimate marketing with real rules around it. The parts that are easy to get wrong are handled by default rather than left to whoever is running the pro shop that day.

Opt-outs, handled properly

Anyone who replies STOP is suppressed immediately and permanently, across every campaign. Queued messages to that number are dropped rather than delivered. They can text START to come back, and nobody has to remember to do anything.

Quiet hours, built in

Texts only go out inside the send window you set. Anything that would land outside it is skipped rather than delivered late, so a twilight group finishing at ten never hears from the patio at ten.

Where consent comes from

In Canada, CASL allows messaging someone you have an existing business relationship with. A paid round creates that, for two years afterwards. Every message identifies your course and includes a way out, which is what the rules require.

Registration with the carriers is part of setup, and we handle that with you before anything goes out. It takes a couple of weeks, so it's the first thing to start.

What we'd still tell you

Run it past your own advisor. It's your business, your golfers, and your name on the sender. We've built the defaults to keep you on the right side of it, but we're not your lawyer.

Questions

What about golfers in the United States?

US numbers fall under the TCPA, which is stricter about marketing consent. If you get American visitors, that's worth raising on the demo call so setup handles it properly.

How long does carrier registration take?

Usually ten to fifteen days. It needs your business details, and it's the long pole in getting live, so we start it first.

Can a golfer opt out and then come back?

Yes. They text START and they're re-subscribed, and we confirm it to them.
